Adrian PicAdrian Neil-Hobson studied at the Dance with a concentration in choreography at Ohio University. While at OU he planned a program titled “Bridging the Gap” that won an NAACP OU Chapter Award, he is a member Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated and was announced president of his chapter after joining the fraternity. Adrian was one of the founders of the organization Shades whose purpose is to mobilize and empower LGBTQ students of color on campus. Shades is still on campus today and is also at The Ohio State University. He has danced with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II for one season. Adrian started in the field of HIV as a motivational speaker in 2009, speaking on the local, state, and federal levels. While speaking he join the ABBA (Aspiring Beyond Belief and Adversity) Mpowerment Group in Dayton, Ohio. Currently Adrian is the Outreach Services Specialist of the Greater Columbus Mpowerment Center, a project of AIDS Resource Center Ohio. As the Outreach Services Specialist, Adrian is

responsible for identifying new opportunities within the community for programming, testing, and outreach while maintaining current partnerships. Adrian is in LGBTQ Who’s Who in Columbus, currently part of Pride Leadership under the United Way of Central Ohio, Chair person for the World AIDS Day Columbus Committee, Chair of the Community Outreach and Engagement Committee for the LGBTQ Health Coalition, a member of the Ryan White Part A Planning Council, and a member of the Central Ohio HIV Planning Alliance. Adrian’s goal has always been to change the mindset, attitude and/or general behavior patterns of the communities around him about HIV/AIDS through education and awareness by using his own personal story. This can only happen if we, as a community, come together as one. Adrian currently resides in Ohio with his husband Dontae Neil-Hobson.
